Calculation

Helo everyone

The calculation of how much energy we can save if we would increasingly share video games is as follows: If we assume that 400,000 people in Switzerland use a PS4 or similar and that the download for one gigabyte takes 0.06 kilowatt hours , everyone has an average of 300 GB on their Playstation, the download comes with a power consumption of around 7,000,000 kWh. This does not even include other things as the server's power consumption for example. We believe that sharing video games could save at least a third. That means we would save about 2’300’00 kWh. By the way: Around 60,000,000 kWh of electricity is consumed in Switzerland each year for video games. And that if you only use the PS4 on average for one hour a day.

Experience at the Sudwerke

Hey guys

On the 6th of december 2019 I went with Michel Fejzullai and Simon Laubacher to the Sudwerk in Pfäffikon Zurich. There we met a very friendly man called Martin. He is the owner of the Sudwerk. Afterwards, he showed us the process of making high quality beer. He told us that we doesn't like the beer from the popular companies, such as Heineken, Feldschlössli or Quelfrösch. The reason is the taste. In his opinion, these beers taste boring. "It's just mixed water", he said.

It was really interesting to learn new things about beer. Unfortunately, in this Business it is very difficult to create an ecological beer, because a lot of raw materials have to be imported from England. In Switzerland we don't have enough barley malt to produce beer. Of Course, we could taste some tasty beers, yummy!

If you want to know more about the interview, you can take a look in Simons and Michels Project. H

Todays plan

Today we want to:

  • create our timetable
  • ask some students about their projects
  • ask Miss Mittelholzer About the newspaper article
  • ând if we have time left, we want to look for new marketing ideas.

Best Regards,

Deia + Rezon

Project Idea

Nowadays it is normal to drive to work by car in the morning. But is that necessary? In Switzerland, we can be proud of our public transport, because it connects even the smallest villages. Why do not we just use public transport? Because of convenience? In addition, owning a car is much more expensive than, for example, a train subscription for the whole of Switzerland. A car-free life is also much better for the environment. That's why we challenge you to live without a car for a month!

climate change

Unfortunately, this film shows us today's problems with the environment. Due to the accumulated plastic in the oceans, it can lead to the stagnation of the seas. As far as I know, that can affect the entire ocean current and bring it to a standstill. If that happens, we have a big problem. Then you have to invent a submerged Fentilator or something similar. Another problem is that accumulating CO2. Due to this, the planet is heating up more and more. So it happens that the sea level rises. An important reason for this is the overpopulation. By having so many people on our planet, we strongly encourage the accumulation of CO2. In my opinion, we have to change something immediately to protect our planet.
